The hotel is situated in a pleasant area and is easily accessible by public transportation. If you arrive before the check-in time, you can store your luggage in the designated luggage room. We were given a room on the eleventh floor, which was fantastic, as it offered a beautiful view of the city.

The city is beautiful and quiet!

The city is beautiful and quiet! The use of cars is let’s say abandoned in the center whilst the bikes are all where! The canals are beautiful and the people are calm! The only big problem is that you have to take care the bikes whenever you go! They don’t even brake when they are close to a pedestrian crossing!

First time I had visited Amsterdam.

First time I had visited Amsterdam. We had a canal tour of the old city which was a great way to see the sights and architecture. The museum quarter was another stop. Lots of museums to visit including the Rijks Museum and the Van Gogh Museum. So much to see so leave plenty of time. We also visited the Albert Guyp Street Market which was a nice experience. The public transport in the city was very good - frequent, well connected, clean and efficient and payment was all automated and easy to use. Recommend you buy a ticket which covers your time there. You can get a 24hr-48hr-72hr-96hr etc version via a QR code on your phone. The city was clean and friendly although there are the usual warnings about pick pockets. Great choice of eateries and pubs and the food we had in various restaurants was all very good quality. The people were very friendly and, as you would expect, the place is very busy with cyclists - so keep your wits about you when you are moving about! We will certainly be going back.

Its a wonderful city for a 4 night visit. Its very safe, very lively and lots to see and do. There were so many choices of restaurants, fast food and pubs for every taste and budget. The people are very friendly. We loved sitting by a canal at a pub for drinks and relaxation.

The only disapointing thing was that we never got to the Van Gogh museum because they were always sold out. Have to get tickets early, We were able to see the museum next door. Had no idea what to expect. It was pretty cool.

The area we stayed in was absolutely filthy dirty .

The area we stayed in was absolutely filthy dirty . Disgusting actually. We were told it was because they couldn't get bin collectors or street cleaners. It was cleaner in other areas. We stayed near the station as we had to travel to Masteritch. We did enjoy a wonderful small canal dinner cruise and all the restaurants we ate at were fantastic. Thank you trip advisor. We couldnt get tickets for the Ann Frank House which two of our party wanted to visit. Wouldn't rush back again.

I love the city itself and the people .

I love the city itself and the people . My wife and I have said that we could live there . I would rent our place in Vancouver and move there for an indefinite period of time . The hotel D & T is so well situated and the transit system is so good at getting around . Earlier on , there was a question about what could be better and the only thing I can think of is how Uber & Cab drivers always seem to take advantage the visitors by driving them around the " LONG" way to ring up the tab ! It happens in other places as well but it does put a sour taste in one's mouth when that happens . I take the buses and trains when I am in Amsterdam but I have heard lots of people complain about that one reason . The transit system is very good and the connections with the airport are so beneficial .

Generous breakfast buffet set in a funky dining room with comfortable seating. Amsterdam Noord is actually quite a good place to stay in. Not very typical like the city centre but a little cheaper and very easy to get to (2 stops from central station). Tribe is a stone's throw from the Metro station and it's quiet.

I had previously worked in this part of Amsterdam and appreciated that it was well connected to the city centre by train/tram. The actual area has changed but the transport was spot-on. The hotel was good value when compared to hotels located within the centre. It was also easily accessible for the airport.
